Originally, the Board Meeting was scheduled for Sweden – but things doesn’t always go as planned. After a great deal of
talking an e-mail was sent to the Ladies of LC Hong Kong and lucky for us they were thrilled to accept an official visit
from the LCI President and at the same time host the LCI Board Meeting 3. The trip was planned - partly as a private trip
and partly as an official trip.

Finally time to go to the Board meeting! We had sent lots of emails since the LCI Conference in august and I was really looking forward to a meeting in real life. It is a project itself to coordinate the arrivals of 6 ladies even though we are not that spread in geography this year.

Whilst I was stopped at security because I couldn’t find my boarding pass, Seetha was sitting at home in India biting her nails trying to retrieve her passport which had been sent to an embassy to apply for a Visa for one of her trips. After using some charm to board my plane to Oslo I then, had a delay in Oslo so I missed my booked flight to Bergen – charm again and I was allow to board the next flight. We knew beforehand, that Kirsten, could not take time off work because it was not planned early enough. So where Linda and Kjersti going to hold fort? Was Board Meeting 3 going to happen?

In November the LCI board had its second board. Full of expectations I got on the plane from Bergen to Copenhagen, ready to meet the other board members at Christina's place in Odense. As last year, Susanne Nørager hosted some of the board members in her house, and we had the board meeting there as well! Here`s our agenda; Thursday evening: Circle meeting. Friday and sunday morning: Board meeting and Saturday - attending the charter of LC 111 Horsens!

Wednesday 18th June 2008 until Wednesday 25th June 2008. As the forth board meeting of the 2008/2009 Circling year approached, the house was cleaned and shopping done with all plans made for receiving the LCI Board to my home.

During the International Contact Ladies Meeting – which marks the start of the 2007/2008 Colourful year – we had a brainstorming session among Councillors. One of the topics discussed was LCI Day and the noun drawn from the bag for this topic was Queen. The group feedback on this subject was that we should all feel like Queens on this day as this is a Special Day for Circlers. LC Belgium and LC Luxembourg must have taken this literally
