Dear Ladies, dear Tablers, dear friends and visitors of this website, time is flying over, and now we reached already more than “half-time” in our LCI-year. For most of our member countries there is even already “full-time”. They already have had or will have their AGMs (Annual General Meetings), and so some new board-members will be elected and some of them will leave the national boards. These national AGMs are the most important events in the year of a LC-country, and that’s why I’m wishing you – on behalf of the whole international board – wonderful weekends, with constructive and harmonious meetings, and a lot of ladies and guests enjoying the fun and friendship around! A huge “thank you” for the outgoing boards, and a huge “good luck” for the incoming boards!
We are looking forward to meeting a great many of you, at our most important event in the LCI-year, our LCI International Conference, which will take place this time in Bucarest, Romania, from the 2nd to the 5th of September 2004. There we will report about our activities, like our travels to different LC-countries, about the development of our international charity Project “Mama Rachel” in Manila, about extension to new LC-countries, we will elect also new LCI-board members, we will elect the place for the LCI-conference venue in 2007, we will have the possibility to meet a lot of “old” and “new” friends, and we will be able to enjoy the Romanian hospitality and discover “Romania’s magic”. So I kindly invite all of you to join us. You find the registration form in the menu “news” to be downloaded (you can ask our webmaster Anke-Thea, how to download the form), or feel free to ask me directly for sending the form to you! The conference-committee chairperson Ersilia Oprescu and her ladies are working very hard for organising an unique conference for all of us, and they will be happy to welcome you…..the more the merrier!!!
Well, for guests at this website, I hope, you will test all the other points of the menu, where you can read about our organisation, about our history, about our world wide motto “friendship and service” and about all our member-countries. At the moment we are about 14.000 members in 34 countries on five continents.
My motto as president for this year is "The More The Merrier", and I would be more than happy, if I inspire some of our guests (of course you should be a women and not older then 45…) to be interested in this unique organisation of young women all over the world and to contact us for perhaps becoming a "Lady"….you're welcome!!!
Yours in Friendship,
President, Ladies' Circle International
