Ladies Circle Finland ( LCSF) celebrated their 50th aniversay in Vasa Finland 21-23rd may 2010.
It was a wonderful weekend where 20 past national president, past international presidents and past international boardmembers from Finland was present.
One ting is for sure, once a circler always a circler and these wonderful ladies really proved that!
On 5th of June 2010 LC Lithuania had AGM where LC IV Kaunas was chartered. For that we have had our God Mothers from Denmark and circles from neighbourhoods Latvia visited us. LC Lithuania was very pleased to meet LC International President Kjersti.
A raining day me and my husband sat us in our car for the 400 kilometres drive to Holstebro. When we get there in the afternoon we have something to eat and then we go to the registration. We were warmed welcomed. After checking in to the house that we were living with three other Swedish people, change clothes and we where ready for the Home parties. BUT…….
Vikings at AGM!
During my LC-years, I have been to 6 Swedish AGM, 4 Danish and 2 Norwegian AGM´s, but not until now I have been able to go to Finland.
We arrived at Vaasa during Thursday evening and just checked in to the hotel and then off to the tour “The Dark Side of Vaasa” where we meet ghosts and went to places that had hosted murderers. Of course, all in the spirit of Salmiakki.
"Happy to be Ladies" was my motto when I was National President of Ladies' Circle Italy. And this happiness I've always enjoyed during my circling life, and it reigned over me on the occasion of the AGM in Cesena.
First of all, I was happy to embrace again the Italian Ladies. I got the good feeling of one that was surrounded with deep affection at home after a long absence.
Internet is a nice thing, but sometimes things get lost in cyberspace. Unfortunate it happend to this report.
But here you can read about the travel to India from Luxembourg.

Originally, the Board Meeting was scheduled for Sweden – but things doesn’t always go as planned. After a great deal of
talking an e-mail was sent to the Ladies of LC Hong Kong and lucky for us they were thrilled to accept an official visit
from the LCI President and at the same time host the LCI Board Meeting 3. The trip was planned - partly as a private trip
and partly as an official trip.
Botswana for the weekend – mad or just a circler!!
Listening to the Presentation about Botswana at the International contact meeting in India gave me
goosebumps!! Finding out we were the Godmother to Botswana made me even more determined
to go and support them whilst organising a special event for LCI.
Do you want to read more about Naomi's trip to Botswana read the link.
Johannesburg, imagine to be back after more that three years. I’m so thrilled!
I don’t know what this part of the world do to us, but many of you Northerners that visited MTM in Botswana might have realized the specificness as well.
On Monday the 8th March 2010 we inducted 9 new circlers in Ladies Circle Botswana. These beautiful and talented ladies are to make up most of Circle
3 once it is officially chartered sometime during the year. This indicates we are well on our way to applying for full membership soon. Yahoo Yippee !!!!
Sumaya
Finally time to go to the Board meeting! We had sent lots of emails since the LCI Conference in august and I was really looking forward to a meeting in real life. It is a project itself to coordinate the arrivals of 6 ladies even though we are not that spread in geography this year.
Its time to take a trip down memory lane
Time to honor our legacy
Time to pay a tribute to
“Friendship and Service”
Madagaskar!
The worlds fourth largest island, situated east of the southern Africa in the Indian sea. An estimated population of 20.6 million people in 2009.
Ladies Circle Madagaskar; founded in 2000 with LC France as theire god mother country. Members 23 hard working ladies! Circles 2 strong circles and most likely one more during this year!
Madagaskar was due to have a official visit this year and it was a great pleasure to go there directly after the MTM in Botswana. I have to admit that I knew little about the circlers there and not much more about this wonderful country!
Hope you will enjoy this resume from my visit there!
Febuary 11th is the international LCI DAY!
Make this unique day a special one!
Wear your LC pin, and show that you are
proud to be a circler
And remember you are unique, and
You’ll never walk alone!
Yours in friendship
Kjersti Irgens, LCI president 2009/2010
